Sewage from the houses runs by gravity to the unit. Basically the interface unit is a chamber housing the transfer mechanism which controls the admission of sewage and air into the vacuum sewage system. The amount of air allowed to enter the vacuum sewage system is normally 1,5 to 3 times the amount of water. The configuration of the chamber, as well as the installed equipment in the chamber, may vary from time to time according to the number of connected properties, topographical location, climate conditions, local standard in different countries etc.

How does it work?
Sewage flows via gravity to a bufferpot, which is connected directly to the main vacuum sewage system. When the bufferpot is filled to a predetermined level, the main switch (sensor is activated and due to a pressure differential the sewage, together with a certain amount of air, will be sucked from the bufferpot.
Sewage is then transported into the vacuum sewage system and on to the holding tank.
