The vacuum station is the heart of the system, where the necessary vacuum is created and from which the sewage is forwarded to the recipient.
Vacuum is generated by liquid ring vacuum pumps or rotory vane type for standard stations and for the Ejector station this is done by pumping the sewage through an ejector. The choice of type of vacuum pump or number of ejector units are depending on the flow during peak hour. Normally, the station also houses two discharge pumps for the disposal of the sewage.
