How can we integrate water-saving techniques into new residential developments and contribute to a sustainable future?
That was the question during the knowledge session “Water-Efficient Districs”, organized by the Circular Water Expert Group of WaterAlliance, held at the InfraCampus in Harderwijk, the Netherlands.
According to Johan Bel (Circular Water Expert Group), the societal urgency is now clear: “The pace is no longer determined by technology, but by how urgently the issue is felt.” This urgency requires more than just innovation — it calls for collaboration, vision, and courage. That’s why cooperation is essential. During the session, government bodies, water authorities, consultants, and industry representatives engaged in open dialogue and discussion — exactly what these sessions are designed to facilitate.
Saving water is always good, but real impact is made when solutions are scaled up the neighborhood level. This demands boldness, long-term thinking, and above all: action. That’s why Water Alliance and the Circular Water Expert Group collaborate with market partners like Qua-vac on knowledge development, education, and awareness — making it easier for stakeholders to adopt and implement available solutions.
WaterAlliance now connects over 200 organizations and has grown into a powerful platform where government, science, knowledge institutions, and businesses collaborate. The goal? To drive innovation and promote sustainable Dutch water technology, both nationally and internationally.
