The Netherlands and India join forces for sustainable water solutions.
Following the success of IFAT India 2025 in Mumbai, as part of the Strategic Partnership on Water under the India–Netherlands bilateral cooperation, representatives of several Dutch water organizations joined a government–industry networking event organized by the Netherlands Water Partnership.
The event took place at the residence of the Dutch Ambassador to India in New Delhi. Its aim was to provide Dutch companies and organizations active in the water sector with a platform to connect and present their solutions to the Indian Government, in particular, the National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG), under the Ministry of Jal Shakti, which plays a key role in this partnership.
Polle Van Twillert, COO of Qua-vac, and JB Venkatakrishnan, Director of Qua-vac India, presented the Vacuflow® vacuum sewer system and explained how it can support NMCG in collecting wastewater in environmentally sensitive areas along the Ganga River Basin.
It was an engaging and interactive session with representatives from the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure & Water Management (Sander Carpay, Fernanda van der Velde and Steven Van Rossum), as well as members of the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (Manabendra Saharia), where RVO will help establish a Centre of Excellence on Water.
