The Optima 5S is Evac’s newest ultra-silent solution on the market. This vacuum toilet is up to two times lower in volume compared to other solutions in the market. With this vacuum toilet, there are no overflows or unflushed toilet bowls caused by a temporary loss of vacuum. Because of the flushing memory system in the toilet, there is a control unit that ensures there is sufficient vacuum for flushing. Both the consumption of water and flushing time can be adjusted.
Why vacuum toilets
Vacuum toilets are part of a vacuum sewer system, a solution used for the Marine sector, for instance. Vacuum toilets use 60 liter of air and 1 liter of water instead of water, to transport the wastewater. The water that is used with a standard toilet is 6 to 8 liters per flush. Each flush of a vacuum toilet uses just 1.2 liters of water, which realizes a water saving of 85%.
For example a standard toilet use 30 to 40 liters of water per day/per person. A vacuum toilet only uses 6 liters of water per day/ per person, a simple way to save lots of water in a short time. This is one of the reasons why vacuum toilets are a good and environmentally friendly solution.
