What does a Collection chamber do?

On of the characteristic features of our vacuum sewer system is the presence of the collection chamber. A collection chamber serves as a central point for collecting and temporarily storing sewage. Wastewater flows by gravity into a collection chamber.  This key feature provides an added layer of security. In the event of a power outage, this chamber offers a reserve storage capacity of approximately 24 hours. Ensuring uninterrupted operation even in unforeseen circumstances.

When the level of the sewage inside the collection chamber rises and reaches a predetermined point, the starter valve activates the vacuum piston valve to open. Which allows the content together with air to be drained into the vacuum network. This system presents a distinct advantage: The ability to connect multiple properties to a single collection chamber.

Our collection chamber is made from HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene), this material ensures a sustainable and reliable build. With a single chamber and storage capacity for emergency wastewater storage, our collection chamber offers maximum functionality.

Accessibility is paramount, which is why our collection chamber is designed for quick and direct access. Should any foreign objects find its way into the collection chamber, it can be quickly and efficiently removed.

The collection chamber can be thoroughly cleaned every 2 to 3 years using a high-pressure washer for periodic maintenance. This ensures optimal performance throughout the system’s lifespan.

Our interface mechanism in the collection chamber is resistant to water, guaranteeing the tank’s reliability and consistency. Even when fully submerged, our mechanism continues to function effectively.
